One of the promised benefits of all the new information management
software has been the ability to flatten the organization. With the new
software, upper management could do their own paperwork (recordkeeping),
and voila the minions were freed to go find more rewarding work.
Problems arise though when people realize the new recordkeeping methods
are not as efficient as promised.
