Information Management, Analyst III — PRN 2208
BWXT Y‑12 in partnership between BWX Technologies Inc. and Bechtel National
Inc., operates the Y‑12 National Security Complex for the National Nuclear
Security Administration. BWXT Y‑12's goal is the safe and efficient operation
of the Y‑12 complex while at the same time modernizing the facilities to
ensure their long-term capability to meet national security missions.

Responsibilities
Provides solutions to information needs and basic information skills training
or instructions to customers (e.g., YDRMS). Initiates, creates, and presents
implementation plans, reports, technical documents, proposals, and
procedures. Manages projects of a complex nature. Develops priorities and
oversees budget for area or project. Takes leading role in teams. Serves as
an expert in establishing records retention requirements for a variety of
company records. Develops or oversees the design of information access and
retrieval systems and programs and/or the resolution of problems that require
a state-of-the-art awareness of the methodology, technology, terminology, and
literature in the field of information management. Develops needs
assessments; interfaces with all levels of management. Defines measures of
performance and monitors and ensures the quality of information products and
services using established standards and customer feedback. 

Requirements: Education and/or Experience
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science, Information
Systems Management, Business Administration with a concentration in Records
Management, Information Management, or Information Systems, or related
information field plus 5 to 6 years of relevant experience. A Master's degree
in an information field plus at least 4 years of progressive experience is
preferred. Requires specialized technical knowledge or extensive management
experience. Note: 13 years of relevant education, experience, and training
will be reviewed and considered for equivalency to these requirements.

Requirements: Special Knowledge and/or Training
Requires a significant level of computer literacy in electronic file
management and applications with the ability to apply technology to the
solution of information management problems and the records scheduling
process. Good human relations and communication skills are essential. Must be
able to function effectively in a team environment. Requires demonstrated
negotiation skills and conflict management to establish processes.

Past performance will be reviewed and considered in the hiring process. 

This position requires a "Q" clearance; however, all qualified candidates
will be considered regardless of their current clearance status.
