  Susan Sallaway, CRM

Program: Are you wrestling with implementing an electronic records
management program for an entire enterprise, for one specific area of
your business, or are you simply(!) trying to get a grasp on how to
manage electronic records in your company? If you have attended many
of the presentations regarding electronic records systems and
software, you have probably heard all the advice: get IT on your side,
get senior management buy-in, understand your business processes,
involve users from the beginning, and train, train, train. Guess
what-they are all true and valid and apply to managing electronic
records and introducing business process changes no matter how large
the scope of your project. Susan Sallaway is currently managing the
design, installation, and introduction of an eRm program for the
Supervisory Large Banks Division of the Office of the Comptroller of
the Currency. She will discuss her project plan which incorporates the
best practices of implementing an electronic records system,
continuing lessons learned, and surprise developments encountered
along the way. Insights gained from her experiences will help you
tackle the many challenges presented by electronic records and
evaluate different approaches relevant to your business areas.
