Hi,

The second worst thing you can do in the face of a government investigation
is to destroy the documents relevant to that investigation. The worst thing
you can do, of course, is to almost destroy these documents.

Most companies had - and some still have (?) - an ill-used document
retention and destruction policy. In the wake of the United States Supreme
Court's ruling in the case you mentioned, a significant question was raised
about how companies should draft and apply their policies regarding
document retention and destruction.

A close connection related to "Records Management" you will find in
the "Arthur Anderson and Enron"-Scandal. I'm quite sure, that you will find
the information you are looking for.

Kind regards
