Docket/Records Manager - Washington, DC Law Firm

 

 

The Washington, DC office of a national law firm is currently seeking a
Docket/Records Manager to join its team. This person will work with the
National Records Information Manager to establish firm policies and
procedures. This person will be responsible for providing general
supervision and personnel management of Docket and Records Department
staff in the DC office, which includes hiring and training, conducting
employee evaluations, and handling disciplinary and termination
procedures. The Docket/Records Manager is responsible for the general
management of file room operations in addition to providing advice on
warehouse space, handling all long-term storage and retention issues,
and handling the design and structure of the file room. 


Qualified candidates will have an Associate's Degree or equivalent, with
a minimum of 5 years experience in litigation docketing and records
management operations in a law firm environment. Experience supervising
and coordinating a work team is also required. Candidates should have
advanced MS Office skills, and be familiar with electronic document and
Records Management software, including LegalKEY.
