The obvious and easy answer is "let your fingers do the walking through the
Yellow Pages".
But a few things to consider:
- Storage costs may be MUCH CHEAPER a bit further away, and if you're not
going to be getting into the boxes any time soon????
- Why not consider palletizing the boxes and depending on the perceived
value of the contents, consider storing them on wrapped pallets in another
type of facility like a transfer or moving and storage facility?
- As with many "donations to collections" the 100 boxes may contain a
percentage of materials that you truly have no interest in accessioning into
the collection. Has anyone (objectively) evaluated the materials to make
this determination before they're accepted?
- Depending on the nature of the agreement on donation, you may also have an
obligation to either provide a certain level of protection to the assets, or
to return anything you elect not to keep back to the donor- has this been
considered?
Just thinking like a Records Manager who served in the capacity of an
archivist (small 'a' intentionally) in the past.
