I passed on PAK's message and link on Twitter and started it with "Bravo!" It's time this dragon was slain. It was never a standard like 15489. It reflected a myopic vision of records management. It reflected the needs of not only government, but an entity of a government requiring a different type of security. It also boiled the ocean addressing minutia that would quickly go out of use by most organizations within just a few years.

We are so far past DOD 1505, and MoReq, that we need to be responsible for a real set of standards that address smaller, more relevant, and general issues. Terminology would be a nice starting point.

Best wishes,
Carol
