The Position 
Program Officers perform administrative work in planning, coordinating, and directing a comprehensive program or program function for a specific clientele. 

APPROXIMATE ANNUAL SALARY -  $38,523.60 to  $56,626.56 

Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. *THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE PRIOR TO THE POSTED CLOSING DATE BASED ON THE VOLUME OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. This position is located within the Administrative Services Division, in Carson City. Incumbent assists with the planning, coordination and direction of the Records Management Program. Responsibilities include implementing established policies and procedures; providing information and interpretation of the program and its rules and regulations to program staff, program participants and the general public to ensure their understanding and compliance; and assisting with requests for information and validating the release or restriction of official State records in accordance with the Nevada Open Records Act (NRS 239). This position supervises and provides training associated with the development and implementation of records management programs for five direct report employees. To Qualify: 
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements: 

Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) 
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university in public administration or a related field; OR graduation from high school or the equivalent and four years of previous experience either performing or assisting in the planning, coordinating or administering of a program; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Special Requirements 
A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. 

Additional Position Experience 
This position requires experience processing public records requests. 
This position requires experience with Application Extender (AX)/Documentum. 
This position requires experience with records retention, archiving and records disposition activities.
