Thanks David!  We have a bunch of film that have passed that stage and a local vendor said that it is beyond reproducible.  We also have over 7,000 reels that we would like to possibly start digitizing.  Do you have any suggestions as to vendors that may do this for us?

The best strategy is get the film into cooler temperatures ASAP - that will slow down any further deterioration of the film. The next step is to digitize it, and if you need a new roll of film, create it from the images.
