John Annunziello asked: There are two airports in the greater Chicago area......Midway and O'Hara.
Does anyone know which airport is closer to the ARMA conference?
My Take:
Fly into Midway (what others have said about O'Hare is bull's-eye accurate), catch the Orange Line train ($1.50 or $1.75 - one way) to downtown. Ride the train around the loop to the northeast side, or whichever stop is closest to your hotel, get off the train and walk down the steps (use the elevator if you need to do so), walk to your hotel, or catch a taxi and pay the small downtown fare.
For six years I've been traveling into and out of Chicago (I'm sure others longer). The vast majority of the times, I am on Southwest Airlines (Midway Airport) when Chicago is my work place. Always, always, always (did I say always), it's Midway Airport and the Orange Line to and from downtown. Unless something really unusual were taking place, wouldn't even consider anything else. How many times has that been my choice in these six years, or so? Great question! more than 50!
Hope this helps!
