My experience is:

* left lying on a desk in a normal office environment, no direct
sunlight
- maybe three months
* inside a file inside a filing cabinet - maybe three years, more
likely
two
* any text you use a highlighter pen on - gone in 24 hours

Our policy is (a) no thermal paper (b) if you get anything, photocopy
immediately onto plain paper.

I hate thermal paper almost as much as I hate folio numbering.
