The National Archives and Records Administration - Great Lakes Region - Chicago presents:

Disaster Preparedness and Response

This course includes planning a vital records program, identifying vital records, writing disaster plans, and planning for disasters with a focus on records recovery. Also included are tips on preservation of permanent records in agency custody and techniques for salvaging water-damaged records. We stage a "mini" disaster on the second day to give you a hands-on recovery exercise. Casual dress, especially on the second day, is strongly recommended!
