Subject: Offsite storage procedures, was Re: Microsoft and ERMS
Here all contact between business units and offsite storage is via my
area. The rationale is, we have several different sites, some we own and
operate, some are commercial. Business units shouldn't have to know where
I choose to put their stuff, they just ask for a box or file, we get it
for them.
Their responsibility extends to having to know what the box number is, and
what's in each box. And paying, regardless of where we put it.
ps I've changed the subject line, you might get more responses that way.
Cheers
Glenn

These views are mine alone. They may or may not be those of any
previous or present employers or clients. I don't know. If I'd asked
and they'd agreed, I would have signed it "Harry Peck and Co and
Glenn". Or whatever. But I haven't, so I didn't.
