While I know the supporters of the continuum model believe it is different from the life-cycle model, they are not really substantially different. How the life-cycle model is applied is more indicative of what it means than a philosophical discussion of it. Most records managers apply the life-cycle now in a way that looks identical to the continuum model, meaning three dimensionally.

And besides, I try never to use any theories I cannot spell on a consistent basis.
