Good afternoon,

We're about to implement a teleworkers policy where, in certain
situations and positions, employees can work from home. In some cases
employees will be issued Company laptops, however, some will be able to
use their own personal computers and we're wondering what sort of issues
this will bring-records wise (accessing/creating Company records via
non-Company computers). Now, they'll have access to our network for
creating, managing, and using records but my concern is how to protect
the Company against inadvertent or unauthorized sharing of Company
records via e-mail, printing hardcopies, access issues (when Junior logs
in and somehow figures out how to get onto the network), etc.

Anyone else work for a company that has telecommuters? If so, how do
you manage records created/used/received on their personal home
computers? Do they sign some sort of agreement saying they won't print
out records, or they won't e-mail anything to anyone outside of your
company, or they will ensure that records are not saved or stored
outside of the network?

As usual, any and all comments are greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Earl
