Good morning,

Just wondering if anyone knows of a standard for the colors in color
coded labels? I mean, are 1's always the same color, 2's the same
color, 3's the same color, etc. for each vendor based on a standard or
business practice? Or does each vendor choose their own color for the
numbers or alphabetic characters. One of my departments is looking at
setting up some color coded labels for their files internally with the
data (and color-coded labels) coming from an Access database, and I'd
like for them to follow some set standards if there are any. Otherwise,
we'll just develop some internally.

I remember that Tab used to sell those boxes of alpha-numeric labels
with each letter or number printed on a different color background.
That was years ago and since I've never used any other labels like that,
I'm not sure if their color scheme was based on a standard or just their
own choice.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Earl
