I'm working on a workflow and responsibility project, and have a few questions regarding how the task of imaging documents is handled in medium-to-large law firms. Your replies are appreciated!
1. Does your firm have a dedicated internal resource responsible for imaging documents of moderate size (daily business documents, not document production)? If so, who? And within what administrative department does the position reside? Does the position handle all imaging, or just some?
2. Does your Records Department handle any imaging at all?
3. Does your firm have a specific team of people solely responsible for electronic records management?
4. Do you have a scan & shred policy? If so, how is it enforced?
5. Are you happy with the current division / assignment of these tasks?
