AIIM Western Canada is offering a session in Edmonton about Optimizing
ECM Tools and Controlling Information Assets
There will be two presentations:
Microsoft SharePoint and the Future of ECM
Most conversations about enterprise information or records management
seem to involve SharePoint in one way or another. Many organizations are
finding that information management is not meeting their expectations
and some are wondering if SharePoint 2010 is the answer to all of their
problems. In this presentation, Greg Clark will discuss the history of
Microsoft SharePoint, the business problems it sets out to solve and its
positioning relative to traditional ECM tools.
GARP Maturity Model: From Theory to Practice
GARP is the Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles, which describe
levels of program development that can be used by any organization to
judge their records management program. This presentation is designed
to show the participant how to use the GARP Principles and Maturity
Model to develop a RIM Governance function
