this year's winner announced at another organization's meeting?

The award ceremony took place yesterday at the National Archives. David
Ferriero (Archivist of the U.S.) was among those who honored Jason during
the ceremony. Others included Charles Dollar, John Phillips, Jim Coulson, and
the Hon. John Facciola. A large crowd came to celebrate Jason's honor.

I hadn't realized it, but the Emmett Leahy Award is not affiliated with any
other organization, even though it is usually announced at the ICRM Business
Meeting.

I hope that I haven't stolen anyone's thunder by sharing the news here, but I
assumed that since it was a fairly public event, it was OK to let people know
about it.
