Given all the concerns over identity theft and patient privacy, it is
disturbing that personal medical records were accidentally auctioned
recently in Florence.
While everyone involved — especially patients — are probably glad records of
the closed Digital Diagnostic Imaging business have since been secured, this
is one incident that should have never happened.
