One of the big red flags I have encountered over the years when dealing with
certain IT people is the use of the term "records management" applied to
technology that has nothing to do with actual records management. Generally
speaking, when I encounter this its an indication that there's something
amiss with the technology, and they are trying to find allies to re-purpose
and promote it.

"Anderson's "jail management system was free," Maenius said. "It was part of
his record management CAD system, which has been implemented and working for
probably the last 10 years."

Records management "CAD" system???
