Records Manager - Washington, DC
Our client, an international law firm, is looking for a Records Manager to add to their Washington, DC office.
Duties in this position include:
* Maintaining comprehensive inventories of physical records
* Conducting quarterly records destruction cycles for client and firm records
* Ensuring records retention and destruction activities are compliant with firm policies
* Providing oversight of Records Management database and related systems
* Making decisions and recommendations about employment, training and development, salary, and related staff issues
* Maintaining statistics on department operations, projects, and initiatives
* Assisting with the annual budget for group
* Conducting orientation and training programs for attorneys, paralegals, and secretaries on electronic document and records management policies
In addition to relevant experience, a successful candidate must have:
* Proven project management experience
* 2+ years experience in a law firm practice, information technology, or records management department
* Ability to work with minimal supervision on a variety of projects under deadline pressures
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to work before or after normal hours as necessary
