Amy, I have a history of turning around troubled programs and systems. One
way I have consistently done that is by emphasizing cost effectiveness and
customer satisfaction. I see Multnomah County as a market for my services.
Making people's lives easier and saving them money is a winning strategy
that will get you invited to the "C" level table and every other table in
the alphabet. This is why I've expressed concerns about the over-emphasis I
am seeing on risk mitigation - it can prove to be a distraction from the
larger picture, and, in my opinion, diminishes what RIM can really
accomplish.
