Online industrial spying presents a growing threat to the U.S. economy and
national security, American intelligence agencies warned Thursday in a
report to Congress that publicly accused
China<http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/world/countries/china.html>and
Russia <http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/world/countries/russia.html>of
responsibility for cyber-espionage.

Tens of billions of dollars of trade secrets, technology and intellectual
property are being siphoned each year from the computer systems of U.S.
government agencies, corporations and research institutions, said the Office
of the National Counterintelligence Executive <http://www.ncix.gov/>, which
focuses on espionage against the United States.
