Subject: Funny RIM video's

I have been asked to come up with a 2 or 3 minute video on RIM...it
must be funny.

I have found the Hitler video and the Xerox video but have not been able
to find any others. Do any of you have any nuggets that you can share on
a Monday morning.

Subject: RAINdrip: NIST's 10 cloud computing requirements

Now that we know NIST has issued a draft addressing next steps required
to
achieve adoption of "the cloud" by the Federal Government, we see
there's a
short list of 10 items that are most critical to achieving successful
adoption.

http://goo.gl/1RXCa

Of great interest is that 8 of the items cite "interoperability and
portability" as key factors and 7 cite "security".

It's going to be interesting to see how well this succeeds given to
achieve
the first requires organizations to be able to interchange data with one
another and few of the service providers are willing to head in this
direction. They are all seeking their own means of operation to suit
whatever hardware and software they want to run to suit their needs, and
as
we all know form past experience with ERMS/EDMS/ECM system there are a
lot
of proprietary features in these architectures.

*IF* they are all running systems that support interoperability, it's
going
to be difficult for them to meet the models that allow them to be most
agile
and profitable; namely, the use of 3rd parties to address volume greater
than they have in their native environments.
