a very interesting challenge but about 10 years ago there was a company in
Houston that developed a software program designed to reconstruct shredded
documents. IIRC it was initially used in legal case out of Canada. The
software originally looked at strip cut documents, they then came up with a
program to reconstruct cross-cut shredded documents.
so my point is -- Is DARPA reinventing the wheel?
