$400K good 'deed' will digitize Carroll, Tusc land records - New
Philadelphia, OH - The Times-Reporter
Tuscarawas and Carroll counties will join Harrison County in having their
land records digitized, with an anonymous gas and oil company offering to
foot the bill expected to exceed $400,000.
“It’s a golden opportunity for the county,” said Tuscarawas County Recorder
Lori Smith, who estimated it will cost about $200,000 to scan all the
documents in her office. “The county could never afford that. I’m
struggling to get supplies.”
