So there is no active visible mold on any of the boxes/records. Yes, since
the building has tested for high-levels of mold we can assume there are
dormant mold spores on the boxes. If you were in the same situation do you
1) pay to have all boxes quarantined and frozen, 2) Vacuum/dust boxes, 3)
Re-box everything in a sterile environment or 4) Blow off the boxes with
compressed air as they go out of the facility and before they are put on
the truck? Other ideas? Obviously most of these actions would be performed
by authorized remediation specialists.



My Director is suggesting the baseline should be re-boxing everything. I
don't mind re-boxing 7,000 cartons, but would like some feedback on what
some of you would do if you were in my shoes.



Thanks for all the previous feedback on best practices. I have a copy of
ARMA's "Records Center Operations" and I have utilized it as we plan our
new facility.
