Computer-assisted planning, old-fashioned manpower move nation's military
records

*SPANISH LAKE* • After all the meticulous planning and computer-generated
mapping, the job falls upon the sturdy shoulders of young men like Lezell
Brown.

Brown, 24, is helping move the nation's military personnel files from a
towering landmark in Overland to a new National Personnel Records Center on
Dunn Road in north St. Louis County. The files are in 1.8 million cardboard
boxes, each weighing 35 or so pounds.
