Our client, an international law firm, is looking for a Records Manager to add to their Washington, DC office.  This position will be responsible for the records operations in two branch offices and serving on the global records management leadership team.  Duties in this position include:

 *   Maintaining comprehensive inventories of physical records
 *   Conducting quarterly records destruction cycles for client and firm records
 *   Ensuring records retention and destruction activities are compliant with firm policies
 *   Providing oversight of Records Management database and related systems
 *   Making decisions and recommendations about employment, training and development, salary, and related staff issues
 *   Maintaining statistics on department operations, projects, and initiatives
 *   Assisting with the annual budget
 *   Conducting orientation and training programs for attorneys, paralegals, and secretaries on electronic document and records management policies

In addition to relevant experience, a successful candidate must have:

 *   Proven project management experience
 *   2+ years experience in a law firm practice, information technology, or records management department
 *   Ability to work with minimal supervision on a variety of projects under deadline pressures
 *   Excellent attention to detail
 *   Ability to work before or after normal hours as necessary
