Hello, my name is Wendell Elento, besides serving Downtown Honolulu as a Xerox Sales Representative, I am the President of the Hawaii Chapter of ARMA - Association of Records Managers & Administrators. 

I sure enjoy reading and following the ongoing discussions on the RECMAN ListServ.  Thank you so much for that incredible resource.  I DON"T PARTICIPATE BEC I DON'T HAVE MUCH TO ADD, BUT I DO GAIN SO MUCH FROM ALL OF YOU.  (I APOLOGIZE, MY KEYBOARD IS NOT COOPERATING).  

Our chapter has 50 members and with the current dire economic conditions, I see the stress and angst of my fellow RIM PRACTITIONERS AS COMPANIES IN HAWAII CONSOLIDATE AND CUT COSTS, often at the expense of RIM department personnel and budgets.

I AM IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE.  HAS ANYONE DONE A PRESENTATION FOR C-LEVEL OFFICERS LIKE CIO, CFO, CEO, COO, CTO TO HELP THEM SEE THE IMPORTANCE OF RIM ESPECIALLY IN REGARDS TO SECURITY OR COMPLIANCE.  OUR ARMA TEAM HERE WANTED TO AFFIRM THE RIM PROFESSIONALS ROLE IN THEIR RESPECTIVE COMPANIES ALONG WITH WARNING THESE OFFICERS THAT THERE ARE SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES FOR NON-COMPLIANCE OR SECURITY BREACH.

WE THINK THIS PRESENTATION NEEDS TO BE IN THE 30-45 MINUTE RANGE BUT WITH ENOUGH POP TO KEEP THEM FOCUSED.  IT COULD BE ALONG THE LINES OF "Top 10 information security tips for C-level executives" OR "WHAT EVERY CFO, CIO, COO SHOULD KNOW ABOUT RIM TO KEEP OUT OF JAIL" OR MAYBE IT COULD BE A combination of lessons learned, best practices or even a previous presentation you've done recently. We are OPEN TO YOUR IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS.  A READY TO GO POWERPOINT PRESENTATION WOULD BE SO AWESOME.
