Good advice from Larry, Gary, Bob, and others. We keep only the original linen or mylar drawings. All red-lining is added via CAD and procedures are in place to make sure they are added before field drawings are destroyed. All drawings are also in electronic form, and we mostly reference the electronic versions. Even without electronic versions, more than 2 copies of any drawing is overkill. Adds to the confusion and cost of maintaining them and trying to find the most recent version. Due to Homeland Security requirements on our treatment facilities and distribution system, we do not give away any drawings. Those we do not keep, we shred.
