Subject: SAVE THE DATE: Essential Building Blocks for Success with
SharePoint 2010 - May 15th

The Madison Chapter of ARMA and the Wisconsin Public Records Board announce
an all-day Spring Seminar on the *“Essential Building Blocks for Success
with SharePoint 2010.”*

SharePoint 2010 is becoming a leading platform for workplace collaboration,
information sharing, content management, records management, and web
development. Many organizations will deploy SharePoint in the hope of
gaining efficiencies, reducing redundancy, and managing business records
across their respective lifecycle. Experts agree there is no one single
element to successfully integrating SharePoint into the processes,
technology environments and user communities but rather it’s a combination
of governance, planning and design, training, taxonomy and metadata
management, user involvement, evaluation, and refinement.

This comprehensive seminar is designed to arm organizations with know-how
on how to leverage the out-of-the-box capabilities of SharePoint 2010 to
meet business objectives and requirements and to evaluate when and where to
apply third party add-ons. Collaboration begins long before you roll out
your first SharePoint site.

*Keynote Speaker:** Karen Strong, Gimmal Group *

Karen is a Senior Director for Gimmal Group. She has been a pioneer in the
ECM/RM industry and leads the Gimmal change management practice. She has
been in the content and records management industry for 29 years working

specializes in program-level strategic planning and enterprise change
management to improve the adoption and long-term sustainability information
management solutions. Karen is a consultant, author, and nationally
recognized speaker and educator. She is certified as an AIIM SharePoint
Master and Prosci Change Management practitioner and trainer.
