Peter,

I remember discussion that it is nice to have one book or two  on the night-table.
How one can say - it is nice to have one Kindle or two ..., and what about falling down from the hands and forgetting to turn light off - is Kindle capable for this situation?

Also, books can be a good place to hide the present behind them for time been for lovely one - can Kindle  fill up the same function

:-)
Regards,

Alex Babin

oh I don't think he is a technophobe as much as he's found someone who take
of the problems. he's probably done a mental analysis and decided it is
easier for you to do it then it is for him to learn it.

I've considered buying a Kindle until I found out you can download the app
for free and use it on PCs, smartphones etc. I too have a large number
books (see them here http://www.librarything.com/catalog/pakurilecz)
I enjoy reading fiction and am considering buying fiction ebooks due to the
lower cost vs hardcover (i read the fiction to fast) but i'll continue to
buy and read non-fiction

Ann Althouse on her blog yesterday raised this question
" Is the ebook format causing you to buy/read way too much/too impulsively?"

I would say it is much like the way I bookmark articles that I find
interesting. many times I bookmark them then forget to go back and read
them. at least with a physical library one can scan the shelves and go "hey
I haven't read this one" then pull it down and start reading.
