Yes, actually, we do provide training on how to write and manage email as part of our big-bucket approach to managing email, which we rolled out a couple of years ago. I collect email "horror stories" and post them on our [public] Records Management SharePoint site, to act as a reminder as to what can happen if we get careless. We also have an annual records cleanup campaign where I offer additional training in email and electronic records management.

Thanks.
Earl

So here is a question for everyone. Does your organization provide training on how to use the email system as well as how to write an email and how to respond? My suspicion, based upon working at and with a variety of organizations, is no. Training is provided for all sorts of things, but why not email?
