I am pleased to share with you my new Blog post at http://PositivelyRIM.com. It is sponsored by the 2017 MER conference,
May8-10 in Chicago.

This post details my thoughts about why RIM and IT should work together, as well as suggestions as to how to make someone in IT you "new best friend". Clearly, synergy between disparate areas is a cornerstone of Information Governance.

Good thoughts and points, Gordy. For some time now, in RIM/IG we've known that we need to understand more about the IT world, but I agree that we on an operational and even a relationship level we need to become "thick as thieves" with our IT friends. I think often we don't realize that in many respects the IT folks in our organizations are trying to keep up with the IT cutting edge as well. A sustained conversation between us will be mutually beneficial.
