If ISO 15489 certification is developed, maybe it could exist at several
levels, like CMM (Capability Maturity Model), the software process model
developed at Carnegie Mellon that identifies best practices to help
software companies improve their processes (see
http://www.sei.cmu.edu/cmm/). If ISO certification for RM used a similar
approach, it might encourage adoption of the standard.

Larry, great idea and I'd like to be part of the effort but the question
here is certification, an official means of verifying that the company
is,
indeed, in compliance with the standard. Is there such an approach in the
making.
It has to be sanctioned by the ISO. The original suggested plan for ARMA
was
to set up a cadre of consultants to provide the evaluation, much like
ISO15489. Any thoughts on that?
