I'm not sure if you were aware of this, but FileTrail offers an incredible
integration with SharePoint 2010. It provides full records and retention
functionality for physical records and assets with the added bonus of RFID
technology if your organization is struggling with IT and facilities asset
tracking. OmniRIM operates as a separate software, whereas FileTrail's
product is so fully integrated, the end-user doesn't know whether they're in
FT or not. They are a Gold Microsoft certified partner. Their solution is
relatively inexpensive and is easy to install and administer. You may want
to check it out as an alternative.
