Homeland Security Today - National Archives Info-sec Lacking, Audit Found
*GAO: Archives did not fully implement access controls against unauthorized
access.*
The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), which is
responsible for preserving access to government documents and other records
of historical significance and overseeing records management throughout the
federal government, “has not effectively implemented information security
controls to sufficiently protect the confidentiality, integrity, and
availability of the information and systems that support its mission,” said
the Government Accountability Office (GAO) in a new NARA audit report.
