Dear Listserv Lurkers
I am researching some information on the retention of Canadian land
records as they relate the oil and gas industry. Can anyone point me to
some current web sites where I might find some information on retention
periods for land records? I am searching the Federal Satues &
Regulations, but I am particularly interested in the great State of
Alberta. Any recommended publications, guides, or best practices are
welcome.
One specific issue that I am researching is whether or not there is
currently a requirement to maintain warranty deeds in paper form as the
United States does because the documents are excluded by E-Sign Act?
Are there similar measures in Alberta?
All replies are gratefully appreciated. If you wish to reply directly,

Warmest regards,
Angie Fares
