couldn't agree more. In my experience IG is bringing all parties to the
table, RM, Legal, IT, Privacy, Security to name just a few. RM is not being
ignored in the larger organizations. These large organizations understand
the need for RM, but at the same time there is a vast amount of information
(structured and unstructured) that is not addressed by RM. The volume of
information created and maintained by these organizations is ginormous to
say the least. IG is the umbrella.
Information governance is not going away, nor is records management going
away.
