My name is Erin Larson. I am a Library Science student at Emporia State
University. I work at the University of Utah Library as an assistant librarian
in Special Collections. I help with the Western Americana maps, the poster
collection and the newspapers. I also do some work for Manuscripts. I
enjoy hard work and I get very bored when I don't have enough to do.
This is my third degree. I have a bachelor's in art and a master's in history
medieval history. My thesis was on the religious motivations behind the
First Crusade.
I read history, science fiction, mysteries and comics. By comics I mean
Calvin and Hobbes and Peanuts not Marvel. I tried standard comic books
and came to the conclusion that they are soap operas for nerds. There are
three or so repeating story lines, everyone always ends up back where
they started and no one ever dies. I do enjoy a lot of movies based on
comic books but even in this period of endless sequels the storyline
eventually comes to an end. Although I could be tempting fate by saying
that.
