Actually, the classic definition of "technology" is the tools, means, processes, and technology necessary for carrying out business, etc. What people commonly call technology today was originally high technology. So, a chalkboard, a chalk, and the teacher's lesson plans are as much technology as the smartboard and the overhead projector.
