Sorry, while our system is very close to the Imperial System it is not the same.  Have only known it as the US system.  I am very familiar with the differences as Canada used the Imperial System before moving to metric.  While the differences between the two systems was slight it created some issues.  Our cars took less gallons when filling them up, but the price seemed significantly higher.  Our US 6 gallon gas tanks for the outboards would hold only 5 gallons when filled in Canada and determining how much oil to mix always required a bit of math. 

One Imperial Gallon = 1.2 US Gallons
