About the Speaker:
Randell C. Smith, Jr. is the Chief Information Security Officer and the Chief
Privacy Officer for the City of Phoenix. The Information Security and
Privacy Office (ISPO) provides strategic oversight, direction, and
coordination for the City's information security and privacy programs. Mr.
Smith is responsible for policy, governance, and regulatory compliance for
15,000+ employees. He oversees the City's Payment Card Industry Data
Security Standards strategic assessment and remediation for 26 functional
departments processing $200M+ transactions annually.
Among other certifications, Mr. Smith is a Certified Information Security
Manager (CISM), a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
He has a B.A. in History from U. of Virginia and a Master of Science in
Systems Management from the U. of Southern California.
