*Thick Skin* - Case in Point (Met with our manager of corporate
communications about setting up a time to train his group on the new RIM
Policy. He said, "Is this really something everyone needs to attend". I
said, "Only those employees who create any type of documents should attend.
Does that exclude anyone?". He followed up with, "Well, what about the
employees who have been here forever?" Me, "I would imagine they need to
hear this more than anyone because they are likely sitting on many of your
departments most important documents." The conversation didn't go much
beyond that so we'll see who I get at the training. Blew my mind.
Especially because this is the same group who wanted to designate all their
work as 'historical' and keep it permanently. Never a dull moment.
