The design plan is oddly reminiscent of the LBJ Library in Austin TX, down to a round fountain/reflecting pool. Even the purposes of the tower and low-lying structures mirrors LBJ. I always thought the LBJ Museum/Tower was a stylized Stetson hat and colored to match Johnson's own hat and Presidential windbreaker; I think it's the same color of the Texas Rangers hats...a dusty tan. Obama's Library looks like the same color of stone facing.

Side note: I've been quietly lurking for the past year or so since I switched from MetLife to WilmerHale. This is really a great and informative forum. I truly enjoy the brain power of everyone.
