ARMA Metro Maryland Wednesday, March 14, 2012, Dinner Meeting
The Digital Tsunami, Open Government, and Information Governance: The View from IDC Government Insights
Presented by:
Adelaide O’Brien, MPA, MBA, Research Director at IDC Government Insights - http://www.idc-gi.com/
Time: Networking – 6:00 PM, Dinner – 6:30 PM, Presentation – 7:30 PM

Location:  Normandie Farm Restaurant (http://www.popovers.com/) 10710 Falls Road, Potomac, MD 20854 (301-983-8838)

Program:  Because easy and timely information access is crucial to meet mission requirements, serve citizens, increase employee productivity, and comply with Open Government directives, agencies rely on effective records management to share knowledge throughout their organization, and share the business of government with citizens. Adelaide O'Brien will provide a growth forecast of the digital universe, and present results of a government survey regarding information overload and the impact of information management inefficiencies.  Adelaide will address steps in information transparency that assist agencies in improving records management practices and transitioning from paper based records management to electronic records where feasible.
