Our client, a computer library service and research organization, is currently seeking candidates for the position of Reformatting Technician. MLS candidates are encouraged to apply. The position is based in Lacey, Washington. Responsibilities * Daily microfilm production activities and coordination of projects through Bethlehem, PA management team * Develops and maintains an understanding of preservation microfilming and digitization standards, in-house procedures, and client specific requirements. * Answers work/project related questions and communicates project requirements in Project Launch Meetings. * Communicates weekly and monthly deadlines. * Assists in communication and smooth workflow between departments. * Participates in filming and digitizing client samples and tests. * Make weekly material pickups from client and conduct client tours on occasion. * Assists in training when needed. * Reports daily activities to manager. Requirements * High School diploma or equivalency. * Minimum two years of filming/QA experience in Preservation Microfilming * Thorough understanding of RLG Guidelines. * Excellent attendance record. * Excellent oral and written skills. * Ability to learn computer skills and able to use Windows NT and corresponding programs. * Ability to work as a team. * Possess leadership qualities. * Willingness to work flexible hours on occasion. * Willingness to work overtime when needed.
