You would only have a void of information, not knowing if the right managers received the form, whether or not they considered it, and, if they decided not to approve the destruction, what the reasons were. You wouldn't know what the manager wanted done with the records, nor how much longer they should be retained. I'd suggest the form come back to you, regardless of whether they approve or disapprove.
